    CGI Marty Mole #2

So i’m back at making more progress on my Marty Mole project. Yes i get that i already show the hair, why are we getting more hair shots? Hair, hair, hair! Well… lets just say that i have a picky mind, I didn’t like the direction i was heading with it. But i’m getting much better results as i’ll show in the image. I also learned how to use zbrush which help with my Hair creation, yay!

I’m still not much of a blogger, but i don’t want to update the art page just yet until i get more details filled out. The eyebrows, and goatee need to be added yet! But i’m definitely picking it up in gear and getting him finally finish.

Let me know what you thing in the comments! 🙂

So I figured since I do have this blog section that I should use it to show special updates that I then can re-link to other social pages, and even you guys can if you really like something I post! 🙂

One of the things I’ve been working on for a bit was Marty’s Hair as in my past two animations “Press Esc” and “Robostatic” never really had hair unless you want to count Carl’s Mustache. So I wanted to try and create a bit more realistic type hair, without going overboard as he is still a cartoon. But this is giving me a chance to play around with the Maya nHair and I’ve already learn a bit of stuff in the process which is great, but has also been annoy as results took longer then I thought. So as a bit of a bonus I’m going to show what the hair looks like below and would love to hear what people may think of it.
Catch ya’ on the next update toonsters!

  • Cartoon Network – Summer Ident

This is pretty wicked cool. I love how much work got put into this and with the limit of only 4 colours is amazing! Plus, so much adventure time everywhere.
However, I only just caught this now, but there’s a photo beside gunter and shows B.B. (see preview image) Which I think is talking about Bugs bunny! Which isn’t crazy if you watch the video.

Cartoon Network recently put together a crew of animators from around the world to create their new summer ident in the form of an animated exquisite corpse. Each team/animator was given 10 seconds of music, 4 colours and tons of Cartoon Network characters to work with. At the end of the project, in true exquisite corpse fashion, each piece was stitched together. This is the result!
